Our Story
Hi! We are Harley and Teryn Wells-Schultz, the founders of Noah's Blessing.
For years we had dreamt of Noah. After some difficulty with fertility, we went to a doctor for help, and In April 2025, we discovered we were pregnant with Noah, after our first round of fertility medicine. We knew Noah was meant to be.
Teryn had a pretty easy going pregnancy. Other than your typical morning sickness, and all the other fun symptoms that come with each trimester, Everything was great!

At 38 weeks and 3 days we had a routine prenatal checkup and non stress test at 8 am. We spoke with the doctor about delivery and birth plans, and the doctor said that Noah's heart sounded great. After the appointment, Teryn noticed Noah hadn't moved for a couple hours, so we went into the birthing center to get checked out. On the afternoon of December 4th, 2025, we were given the heartbreaking news that Noah no longer had a heartbeat. It took a while to comprehend it all. Noah was fine that morning, so what could have gone wrong in a few short hours?
Teryn gave birth to Noah at 10:45 pm on December 5th, 2025. He was 7 pounds, 11 ounces, with dark blonde hair, and he looked just like Teryn. He was so beautiful, and so perfect.
During birth, the doctor discovered that the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, and it was determined that an umbilical cord accident had caused his passing.

We were able to spend 24 hours with our baby boy, holding him and making lasting memories. But when it was time for the nurses to take him away, we didn't want to let him go. Our arms and hearts felt so empty.
A hospital staff member came in with a teddy bear and set it on the table by the bed. She explained that the bear was the same weight that Noah was at birth, and that whenever we felt sad, alone or empty, we could hold the bear and think of Noah. There has not been a day since then that we haven't held this teddy bear. When Teryn longs for Noah, she picks up the bear. Whenever Harley misses Noah, he holds the bear.
However, we learned that not all hospitals offer these bears, and they often aren't worked into the budget. No family should go home from the hospital empty handed after a devastating loss of a child. It was right there in the hospital room that Noah was born in, that Noah's Blessing was founded. We vowed to collect as many bears and as much sand as we could to deliver to hospitals, so that every family experiencing miscarriage or stillbirth could go home with a tangible remembrance of their child, and know that their baby's life mattered. We wanted to create a way to honor Noah, and help other families that go through infant loss.
